Nawkaw's Colour Treatment Technology

Are you looking for a simple way to add colour and texture to your pre-cast project? Nawkaw Australia has pioneered a masonry staining process which easily and cost effectively adds colour to your pre-cast development.

Specially formulated to allow for a wide range of colour the product is durable, U.V. and weather resistant.

It does not involve painting as the penetrating stain is absorbed directly into the substrate and maintenance costs are minimal.

In Toronto, Canada a Pre-cast multi-residential tower was completed using Nawkaw Australia's colour treatment technology.

The developer and architect specified an authentic face brick finish to this project. However they knew they would need to look outside traditional building methods for this look to be achieved.

Nawkaw Australia collaborated with the pre-cast manufacturer and during construction the pre-cast panels were embossed with a brickwork pattern on the external surface.

Nawkaw Australia was then commissioned to stain the embossed brick surface to replicate an existing commercial face brick.

There were substantial savings in time and money for the builder and the architect using this innovative approach to meet the specified finish requirements.

Compared to traditional construction methods, production times were reduced by 2/3 and manufacturing costs were also less.

The colour stain was added to the panels once they had been erected and this was achieved using boom lifts to reach the high areas.

Scaffolding was not required for this large-scale project and the contractor was delighted with the money and time saved by using boom lifts as opposed to scaffolding.

The results were good with Nawkaw Australia's colour technicians creating a beautiful and flawless face brick finish.
