Case Study: Waterproofing Applied to a A fairly complex and tricky project requiring remedial waterproofing works to repair a leaking concrete overpass for a Melbourne metropolitan railway crossing. There had been a number of previous attempts to waterproof this area which all unsuccessful with water leaks still persisting. Our recommendation was to use a spray-applied liquid waterproofing membrane to provide a SEAMLESS and FLEXIBLE monolithic water barrier. The project required removal of paving to the upper footpath levels and application of spray applied Liquid Rubber waterproofing membrane. There were selected areas where we embedded fibreglass matting providing a durable though still flexible membrane. All junctions were prepped and detailed by hand with Liquid Rubber. Masking was required prior to spray application.
