About Spec-Net

The Spec-Net Building Directory commenced in 1994 and currently attracts over 10 million visitors per annum. Audience demographics are architects, designers, engineers, contractors, building companies, building manufacturers both commercial and domestic.

Since 1995, Spec-Net has designed and created a large number of websites (both simple and complex). We have also taken over websites, reworked them for 'search engine optimisation' and hosted them. Provided Free Call service and website maintenance with a number of solutions available.

Since 1997, Spec-Net has produced the Weekly "News Lounge" in an EMAIL circulation to 8,000 industry professionals including: architects, interior designers, specifiers, developers, builders and contractors. In 1998, with the rapid popularity of Google, we have achieved solid "organic traction" for our clients by creating "landing pages". Spec-Net can increase "your company's" online presence by creating a series of single page advertorials, keyword driven and linked to your website. Our proven marketing network includes the largest search/aggregators namely Google organics, Yahoo, Bing and even FaceBook. In 2010 Spec-Net commenced making Short Sales Videos. Working in with major trade and home shows organisers, we do "stand interviews" where we film, condense and produce 2-3 minutes videos. Spec-Net has also completed a number Showroom (or Field) videos in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Following an approval process, we then market the videos across a wide range of platforms including Google, YouTube, Facebook, Bing & Yahoo and embed them in Spec-Net Architectural database. We now have over 1000 videos in internet circulation.

In 2010 Spec-Net created a Video Marketing Campaign on FaceBook and YouTube to broaden its penetration into new audiences.

In July 2014 Spec-Net launched the Spec-Net Online Shop, an innovative platform enabling our clients to sell their products online. Saving our clients all the costs associated with setting up a shopping site, products can be easily uploaded via the user friendly vendor panel.

In February 2016 Spec-Net launched Content Concierge - A brand-new content creation and marketing initiative developed especially for architectural suppliers and service providers. 2017 saw the roll out of mobile website preferencing by search aggregators. Spec-Net can design and deliver mobile responsive websites.
