Agapanthus Black Pantha is a sensational new Agapanthus variety that has near Black Flower Buds bursting into large flowers heads with a deep Purple skirt surrounding set this Agapanthus apart from any other The Black flower buds start appearing from the abundant, Non deciduos grey green foliage in Mid October and continue upward to early November until they burst into the flower later in the month ,The flower displays its unique color and form for 6 to weeks and mature plants send up multiple flower stems which can also be used indoor as a cut flower and have an excellent vase life of 12 to 14 days.

The uniform height of flowers foliage and the unique Dark Flower color lend Black Pantha to mass planting situations, the plant forms a stemless clump of approximately 400mm x 400mm and the flowers are displayed 1 mt above on spotted stems The flowers are mostly sterile which allows planting in sensitive environments with out the problems associated with self seeding the dark flower color contrasting beautifully with existing Blue and White Agapanthus flowers.

Agapanthus Black Pantha is suited to most soil types from sandy loams to heavy clay based soils and is drought resistant, plant in full sun to light shade and protect from severe frosts when young.

Black Pantha is ideal for Mass Planting ,Borders, Pots , Feature areas Environmentally sensitive areas in both Private and Commercial Landscapes and Gardens and requires little care, Occasional fertilizing with flowering food in spring will ensure large colorful flowers and lush foliage.
