Dalsouple's Tuflex rubber flooring for disabled or aged care

Tuflex rubber floor tiles are 9.5mm thick made from truck tyre's, tennis shoes soles, hot water bottles and beach balls.

In 1997 the Laura Fergusson Trust (Auckland) Incorporated for Disabled Persons chose to install Tuflex rubber flooring in their new Gymnasium of 100m².

They have approximately 180 users every week plus 65 staff.

The endorsement from the Laura Fergusson Trust says that after 11 years it still looks good, it's easy to keep clean, and there has not been any maintenance required to the flooring. Director Lorna Coles says, "The flooring is perfect for the many different types of clients e.g. Wheelchair and zimmer frame users, amputees and clients recovering from bone fractures or hip replacements, stroke sufferers all who are often very unsteady on their feet and require the assurance of a non slip surface that has a softer impact for damaged or sensitive limbs."

Tuflex comes in 20 colour's with colour feature strips. Interlocking also available in 4 colour's.

After 50 years Tuflex has just been taken over by one of the largest rubber floor companies in the US, Roppe corporation, expanding the range now available in Australia, and providing more efficient service.
