Global Safe Technologies tactile solutions to assist visually impaired

Global Safe Technologies is proud to announce that its outstanding OH&S and surface safety product range now includes tactile's. The company has reached agreement with Austact - the leading Australian supplier of tactile's - to become an exclusive accredited applicator for the company's superior tactile products.

Austact has already achieved great successes with large clients like Rail Corp and are already servicing several clients throughout NSW, QLD and Victoria.

The tactile indicator Profile1 (patent pending) has been tested by CSIRO to verify the suitability of the product in a pedestrian environment. This component was rated at R13 (38.2Deg), to AS/NZS 4586:2004, Appendix D. which significantly exceeds the requirements & ensures a safety advantage.

With it's unique design, the No 1 profile ensures that the tactile indicator requirement doesn't become a slip hazard. This profile performs when dirty, icy and wet. It has such superb grip qualities it has been used as a non slip surface in problem pedestrian areas.

Extensive practical experience has proven that there is no substitute for mechanical fixing. Fixing a Tactile Indicator onto an existing pedestrian floor with adhesive has proven to date to be less reliable, than we considered acceptable.

The installation is quick and secure, due to the specialised equipment used. There is virtually no dust or mess created and as always things are left better than they were found in relation to safety and cleanliness.
