MetalART's Supaslat aluminium fence clinches first place in the Urban Design Awards

Metalart Industries unique Supaslat aluminium fence has played a vital role in "clinching first place" in the recent annual "Build a Better City Design Award" regulated by the Urban Design Department in the City of Whitehorse.

The stylish timeless timber aluminum fence was specified for its unique, innovative and sustainable characters by CK Architects for builders Deco Holdings. Metalarts Jarrah woodgrain finish was the colour chosen for the chic Supaslat aluminum fence to compliment Decos' elegant 3 storey apartment building in Harrow St Box Hill.

The voguish aluminium fence formed an integral part of the overall project for which the guidelines for entry included "positive contribution to neighbourhood character and complimentary relationship between architecture, urban character and landscape." Says Mick Healey of Deco Holdings "besides just looking great and adding a sustainable element to our project Metalart Industries distinctive Supaslat aluminium fence met all the criteria necessary to help us win this prestigious Urban Design Award."

Looking just like timber the Supaslat aluminium fence has gained much interest from many elite architects and builders from around the nation – the exclusive product has been specified in numerous high profile projects including HPA Mirvac's prestigious development at Magenta Shores and Hickory's impressive residential project at Martha Cove.

Since introducing the timeless timber Jarrah finish less than 2 years ago the demand has been such that Metalart Industries has added another two beautiful colours to their woodgrain range – the Supaslat aluminium fence is now available in warm tones of Western Red Cedar and a lighter & cool Snow Gum finish.
