Hot Tubs for Outdoor Entertaining from Ukko Saunas

This luxurious hot tub was installed by Ukko Saunas in cooperation with Decks by Design. The homeowners sought a contemporary style outdoor space with subtle Asian themes, to reflect their existing 1970s home.

The entire deck and entertaining area were constructed five meters above natural ground level and incorporated a steel frame construction that provides the owners with a sense of retreat and seclusion.

Frameless glass fencing was used in order to enhance the existing view with solid screening to the eastern side to obtain privacy from the neighbours. An arrangement of fast growing bamboo was also used to create privacy and provide screening from the sun's strong rays in the summer months.

The hot tub was located so as to give the occupants a feeling of companionship with the entire outdoor area and yet still take advantage of the spectacular views. The jets have been positioned to enhance this as well so that the occupants could take advantage of the relaxing massage yet not turn their backs on the rest of the party.

The equipment has been chosen to be both space efficient and quiet and can all be accessed cleverly through the garage which sits behind the tub alleviating the need to have any unsightly hatches in the deck. The choice of the hot tub was a key feature in also blending all the influences of the outdoor entertaining area. The addition of the Ukko hot tub provides the perfect opportunity for the home owners to relax after a busy day at work and take in their Asian-inspired outdoor setting.
