NEWS ARTICLE ARCHIVESAcoustic Wall Noise Barrier from Modular Walls SystemsNoise Barriers for Fast Food Drive Throughs A McDonald's outlet in Sandgate, QLD was located just next to the railway tracks and residential homes. Hence, it required an acoustic barrier to shield the residents from the drive through traffic noise as well as shield its patrons from the noise generated by passing trains. The noise barrier also needed to be an attractive perimeter wall which improved security. The other challenge was that the solution needed, in parts, to be mounted to an existing structurally adequate block retaining wall. Modular Wall Systems utilised the VogueWall system with the AcoustiMax 75 panel for this project. Core receptors were used to mount the wall panels to the existing retaining wall. A total of 112m of VogueWall was installed at 3 different heights - 1.8m, 2.4m and 3m. This solution was installed within a week, ensuring the client could continue with their daily operations.
