NEWS ARTICLE ARCHIVESRapid road repair with Parchem
Renderoc Rapid was developed at Parchem's research and manufacturing plant in Wyong NSW in response to a specific request from Brisbane City Council for an emergency road-patching concrete that could be applied with minimal disruption to traffic. "It was developed for roadways and bridges where they need to get a high early MPa strength," said Stephen Sigmund, Parchem Market Manager for Concrete Repair. "Vehicular traffic can move over the patch repair within one or two hours." Renderoc Rapid cures to 20MPa in one hour, continuing to a full-strength 55MPa over 28 days. Application to date has included repairs to Ipswich Road in Rocklea, River Road in Caboolture and Meadow Lands Road in Carina. The new product is shrinkage compensated and durable with excellent bonding properties. "Once it's in there, it's there to last," said Stephen Sigmund. |
