Dalsouple Australasia imports natural sustainable rubber flooring into Australia but to do so needs to use freight for transport. They have decided to use DHL as their freight forwarding company as DHL now have their GOGREEN initiative to help offset carbon emissions. With sustainability high on the building agenda, many architects and designers are choosing sustainable products above conventional building materials. Dalsouple natural rubber flooring is extremely low in VOC, made from latex tapped from the rubber tree, is 17 times more efficient to produce than linoleum and 3 times more efficient to produce than vinyl. To further offset carbon emissions Dalsouple Australasia has decided to plant 25 trees for every order of rubber flooring into Australia. Recently they had a family tree planting day at Royal Park in North Melbourne and they planted 100 native plants. For Christmas they posted thank you letters to all their customers and included a packet of native Australian seeds. Murray Gardner CEO has recently bought a bike to use as local transport to save petrol. |
