Schindler Lifts to supply mobility solutions in 'The Oracle'

Schindler has been awarded the contract to supply the entire lift system in the prestigious new residential development 'The Oracle Broadbeach'.

Broadbeach's hottest new address, The Oracle Broadbeach, will set new standards in lifestyle design and luxury. The predominantly residential development will feature two towers one of 50 levels and one of 40 levels at 160 metres and 130 metres respectively. Situated on the corner of Surf Parade and Charles Avenue, the 1.2-hectare development will almost cover an entire block.

To ensure people move around the buildings efficiently and in comfort Grocon, project builders, has selected Schindler to supply, install and commission a state-of-the-art lift system. Schindler will supply 21 lifts in total including 3 x Schindler 3400 Mini-Machine-Room (MMR) lifts, 8 x 3400 Machine-Room-Less (MRL) lifts, 3 x custom lifts and 7 x Schindler 7000 High-Rise lifts, from the Schindler Top Range Division (TRD).

The 3400 MRL has been specifically designed to meet the needs of modern buildings. It is quieter, more economical to install, as there is no need to build a machine room, and can help increase the Net Letable Area (NLA) for a building.

The Schindler 7000, for high-rise buildings, incorporates the latest technologies from Schindler TRD. The Schindler 7000 has proven its capacity to delivery on efficiency, ride quality and comfort. Passengers will experience true first class travel.

"Securing projects such as The Oracle is a testament to the good work we are doing here in Queensland and specifically here the Gold Coast. The Oracle development is sure to become an icon in the region and the lift system a showpiece for Schindler, said Ron Kipniak, Gold Coast Branch Manager."

Schindler's commitment to the Gold Coast is backed by its investment in the region. At the start of 2008, Schindler opened the doors to its new branch to ensure it can continue to deliver the quality of service its customers have come to expect.

"We have been servicing the Gold Coast region for many years managed from the Brisbane office. However, we wanted to be closer to our customers to ensure we can continue to be responsive as our customer base grows, Damian continued.

The $750m development by Niecon will feature 505 apartments in total and also include premium retail and dining amenities. The development is scheduled for completion in 2010.
