Engineered Products Group (EPG's) five fully equipped clean rooms and workshop facilities at each of the branches are now servicing the full range of Sumitomo Gearboxes distributed by EPG.

The NSW branch workshop had an order recently to convert a Sumitomo Shaft Mounted Speed Reducer (SMSR) M13 to an M20 unit for an urgent customer breakdown requirement. The SMSR Model M is rated to 44,050 newton metres and is stocked by EPG in 2 ratios 13:1 and 20:1 with standard thru bore and Taper Grip output hubs.

With a power capacity of up to 280 kW, accommodating headshafts up to 190 mm in diameter, the model M SMSR is the top end of EPG's commitment to the full stock range.

After handling the exclusive Sumitomo SMSR agency for the last three years, all of EPG's workshops have full service capabilities for not only our own brands, but for the wide range of our customers mechanical service requirements.

EPG also has the capability of providing a preventative maintenance program tailored to individual industry needs. This program will include consultation with production and maintenance teams on site, field assessment of individual gear applications and our recommendation of a maintenance program to maximise productivity and minimise downtime. In the preventative maintenance program schemes EPG is offering twelve months warranty commencing from date of installation of the product serviced. The expansion of EPG's Service Division is a further step in the company's aim to provide industry with total transmission solutions.
