Life solutions from Style Plantation offering more than just sustainability

Homeowners, architects, interior designers and builders alike should have
just one word on their lips at the moment - bamboo. Bamboo flooring is one of the most
striking, hardwearing and unique products on the market today, and best of all it is a
sustainable product.
"We recognize that we have a collective responsibility to looking after our fragile
environment and this has in turn has created the opportunity for us to source viable
alternatives to using products from old growth forests and other regenerative and sustainable
sources. We are excited about the initiatives developed by local government within Australia
for sustainable housing." said Paul Coulson, Director, Style Plantation.
Style Plantation is the leader in bamboo flooring and specialise in the import and distribution
of quality renewable resource products throughout Australia and New Zealand. Style Plantation
currently has eight showrooms around Australia and one in Auckland, New Zealand.
"Bamboo is allergy free, environmentally friendly, repels termites and is reputed to be superior
in quality, and more durable than most hard wood timber floors. Bamboo flooring is becoming
increasingly popular because it doesn't react to water, as do some timbers, making it the
ideal choice for wet areas in the home. The flooring is also ideal for refurbishment because
it arrives as a finished product already coated so there is no unnecessary mess and dangerous
fumes normally associated with onsite sanding and polishing and can be laid over existing flat
floor tiles." Said Paul Coulson, Director, Style Plantation.
The current product suite includes: Bamboo Flooring; Bamboo Timber for ceilings etc; Bamboo
Fencing; Bamboo Woven Sheeting for walls and ceilings; Bamboo and Natural Fibre Blinds; Bamboo
Furniture Board; and Paulownia Timber.
Paulownia Timber is easy to plane, saw or carve and is extremely stable with a low expansion
and contraction factor. It is also termite resistant and has a very high ignition temperature
425°C compared to the hardwood average of 235°C. Very high thermal, audio and electrical
insulation factors as well as a high strength to weight ratio makes it a great choice for
internal wall cladding, ceilings, doors, window frames as well as joinery and mouldings.
Paulownia Timber won't split when nailed, even at the ends of the boards.
Style Plantation offers quality, highly competitive commercial, lifestyle alternatives for
a fully sustainable future.
