iGlass switchable privacy glass

An earlier generations of switchable privacy glass had two significant
shortcomings that severely limited sales. Glass panel size was limited to very small
windows, and the average cost, in many cases was prohibitively expensive. iGlass,
through nanotechnology, has brought the price of switchable privacy glass down by half,
or more than previous pricing for flat glass products in sizes up to 3.3 square meters
(35.5ft²) in area. Suddenly, price and architectural size limitations have been
virtually eliminated.
In additions to lower cost and larger panel sizes, iGlass offers fabricators and
manufacturers better haze control and improved ability to disperse image and light. The
company's proprietary automated production process and formulas also make possible more
uniform substrate thickness, better quality control and, more dependable delivery of
products in required quantities.
Quick-Change control over light, glare, solar heat gain, noise and personal comfort -
as well as privacy and security.
iGlass' power to change from opaque to clear - and back again - means instant privacy
in glass interior room dividers and exterior windows, with no blinds, shades or other
window coverings. 50% light transmission in the opaque phase reduces uncomfortable
glare and saves energy by lowering solar heat gain. Opacity can be controlled by varying
the voltage applied. In both interior and exterior applications, iGlass helps protect
from distracting environmental noise.
