Anti-skid surfacing HiGrip™ by MPS Paving Systems
HiGrip™ was chosen as the high friction calcined bauxite
surfacing system on this intersection approach. The substrate was an asphalt
traffic lane and a concrete shared tramway.
HiGrip™ dressed with ultra high PSV calcined bauxite has been demonstrated
to reduce wet weather stopping distances by up to 35% and can dramatically
reduce both the number and severity of accidents where installed.
