Solar Carpark Lighting from Leadsun

Leadsun installs 3 x Alpha AE5 Solar lights for St Josephs College, Geelong.

St Josephs College, Geelong constructed a new car park area at the rear of the school but overlooked the importance of having the area safely illuminated in the evening. The college then gained quotes to install new mains powered lighting but then realising the extensive underground electrical works that would be required causing the overall cost to be significantly higher than what was anticipated. The college also wanted to pursue a sustainable lighting solution so naturally "solar powered"lighting became an attractive proposition.

Leadsun was able to offer the college a cost effective and flexible lighting solution that did not require any underground wiring or any other excavation works. The 3 - Alpha AE5 solar lights that were installed cover a large open area and also have built-in programming which allows the LED lighting system to operate at varying lighting levels during the evening to significantly improve the safety and security of the area. The project also featured a lowering lighting column and concrete-less footing system by EZYpole to make not just installation much more cost effective and easier but also any scheduled maintenance required over the years without the use of any elevating platforms.
