Galvanised drainage grates undergo a special process that takes structural strength to a whole new level. The galvanisation method equips the fabricated steel with inherent corrosion resistance, by reinforcing the steel with molten zinc. The metallurgical reaction occurring as the iron in the steel and molten zinc collide leads to a tightly bonded alloy coating, which provides the three-fold protective covering in Hydro's galvanised drainage grates.

Galvanised drainage grates have a strong, bonded zinc coating that covers the steel surface, and seals the grates from corrosive chemicals and harsh natural elements. In addition to anti-corrosive properties, galvanised drainage grates have a natural weathering process that adds a layer of protective covering.

Hydro's galvanised drainage grates conform with AS 3996 and AS 1428.2. They are engineered to withstand light traffic load.
