Schindler's Operations in Asia Pacific react to continuing increases in costs of Fuel, Commodities and Specialty Metals.
Schindler, a leading elevator and escalator manufacturer, today announced an immediate price increase of approximately ten (10.0%) to seventeen percent (17.0%) depending on product line and sourcing. While improvements in production efficiency and sourcing have minimised the full impact, increases were necessary due to continuing escalation of fuel prices, soaring prices for commodities and specialty metals, which impact Schindler's costs for manufacturing and product transportation.
