Traditional French Oak floorboards at The Good House

Since year 2000, The Good House has been importing solid timber floorboards made of
genuine French oak, certified from sustainable forestry. Widths range from 85 to 200mm,
and lengths vary from 0.4m to 2 or 3m. In a 'run of the mill' grade, those boards provide
an authentic French provincial look, be it with or without bevelled edges. The traditional
tongue and groove profile with end match ensures ease of installation and minimal waste.
European oak floorboards are always best installed secret nailed.
Our brushed finish proved very popular over the years, either in a light natural finish
or in a deeper and darker stain. Combinations of different widths (2 or 3) are also in demand.
Amongst the various types of parquetry patterns we can offer, the herringbone and chevron
designs provide very good value for money and can be harmoniously combined with plain strip
floor in adjacent rooms, a wide board the usual border across the doorway.
Please send us your floor plans and we will assist you in any aspect of style and installation.
And visit our website to discover the other main products we import from France: Roof tiles,
Traditional and Designer fireplaces, hard limestone floors, and European casement windows.
TGH also keeps limited stocks of the renowned "Anduze" vases. Feel free to contact
us anytime for more details.
At The Good House, we look forward to sharing your vision.
