Boost the performance of wall insulation

Bradford Thermoseal Wall Wrap XP

Research has proven that the performance of wall insulation is improved when air flow around the insulation is reduced, but not all wall wrap products help boost it further by contributing up to an additional RT0.5 to the wall system.

By utilising the building cavity airspace on the outside of the building frame, the new Wall Wrap XP wrap from CSR Bradford provides an outward facing reflective air-gap R-Value to boost the contribution of an R2.0 wall batt installed value of RT2.5 to RT3.0 in a standard brick veneer wall assembly during summer.

When the building stud cavity is filled with wall batt insulation, conventional (single sided inward facing) wall wraps are no longer able to contribute an additional air-gap R-Value to the wall system. Thermoseal Wall Wrap XP overcomes this problem by using an outward facing patterned antiglare surface to allow you create a more energy efficient wall system by boosting the performance of your wall batt insulation.

To complement the release of this product, CSR Bradford has also made available a range of Technical Guidance literature on how to model this product in all 3 energy rating software packages. Published as part of the CSR Building Science Series, these handy manuals provide clear modelling instructions for AccuRate™, BERsPRO™ and FirstRate5™.
