Picture a lightweight flooring product that's easy to install indoor or outdoor in whatever part of the house or commercial establishment and used as a substrate OR as a finished floor. This is possible with INEX>FLOOR concrete-like structural flooring from UBIQ.
This flooring system is made from a uniquely developed cementitious composite flowing sheet. It is durable, cost effective and definitely far from being a lightweight in terms of quality. INEX>FLOOR has passed water permeability, frost resistance, slip resistance and corrosion testing. All these qualities including its easy storage and installation have made INEX>FLOOR an ideal material for flooring specifications.
Installation
Application of a 6mm bead of INEX>BOND to the joists is highly recommended. INEX>BOND is used to place INEX>FLOOR boards together especially in areas that are likely to get wet such as bathrooms, toilets, laundries and the exterior of the house.
After putting the INEX>BOND to fill in the gaps, layout the sheets. If you wish to make the INEX>FLOOR as a substrate to tile-finished flooring or wet areas, install with the rough side up. Note that bathrooms and laundry areas should be applied with a waterproof membrane as a requirement of the Building Code of Australia.
Once you're finished with the first sheet, use the tongue & groove joint to install the second sheet. Install the primary row of fasteners in the second sheet before doing the same on the last sheet. You may use an automatic screw gun to fix or screw the material but before doing so, we suggest looking at the technical specifications. Before putting together the tongue and groove joints, place a 2mm to 3mm diameter bead of INEX>BOND along the full joint length at the bottom of the groove.
These are just some of the first things that you should know before using the INEX>FLOOR. To learn more on how to install this lightweight flooring material, the equipment that you would need and health and safety tips, contact UBIQ today.
