O'Briens Automatic Systems endeavor to provide gate systems that are safe, user friendly
and reliable. There are three main ways in which your family, friends and visitors are
protected with an O'Briens system;
- Electronic Obstacle Detection: This function is standard on all O'Briens systems.
This electronic system is designed to reverse the gate the second it comes in contact
with a person or object.
- Photoelectric safety beams: Photoelectric safety beams if obstructed will prevent
the gate from closing until the obstruction is cleared. The safety beams also trigger
the gate to close automatically. This means that the gate is always left in the closed
position even when you're not there to watch other family members.
- A secure and substantial support system is used to hold the gate upright. This
means even if somebody climbs on the gate or the gate is bumped by a car the gate is
prevented from falling over.

service checks to ensure your system is still working as well as the day it was installed.
Audible and visual alarms can be fitted to the gate system to warn children playing
near the gate or passing pedestrians that the gate is about to move or is moving
and a car may be about drive out.
