Solid Timber Parquetry Floors from Mountain Timber Products

Many people are surprised to learn that for the cost of a solid timber overlay floor they can have a parquetry floor. Parquetry is very simply the art of laying timber in patterns. Combining different types of timber can modify traditional patterns such as Herringbone, Basketweave, or Square on Square, eg Tasmanian Oak with Jarrah. Stunning visual effects can be created that will add value to your home, give you years of trouble free enjoyment as well as a cleaner, healthier environment for your family. Parquetry can also look stunning in contemporary applications. We can easily run it in longer custom size blocks if required. Parquetry block is sold in three different grades. At Mountain Timber Products we use the following quality gradings: Select, Standard and Random.

• Select: Full dimension block with slight natural features, free from knots, large gum vein or machining defects.
• Standard: Full dimension block with unlimited natural feature, but free from loose knots, machining defects or holes.
• Random: Full length full height and full width block varying in length from 50mm up to 240mm long. This product is a by-product of our parquetry manufacture and is those blocks that were not full size.
