FieldLink is the latest addition in the Schindler commitment to effectively target sustainability by completely revamping its largest component of the business, the technical support and service sector. A hand held technological device, FieldLink introduces a new paperless approach to the core Schindler service function. This technology gives technicians access to a huge variety of data they need to complete their service call quickly and efficiently, through an integrated smart device. This is a benchmark in the evolution of effective and prompt response to call outs and maintenance of Schindler installations, while providing customers with a greener service solution.

"FieldLink technology is a mobile phone, dispatch device, troubleshooting tool, database of parts and a service manual, all rolled into one hand-held computer system. Most importantly though, this step is pivotal in the transition to a greener service level by completely eliminating the need to issue and print service tickets. At this stage we anticipate a saving of 1 tonne of paper every year." says Stefano Montresor, Product Line Manager.
