Waterproof Membrane for Render from Active Building Systems

ezycoat render range

Have you often wondered why your rendered parapets, rendered hand rails and retaining walls are experience cracking in the render surface?

Well the answers to your question is simple. Rendered surfaces with a high build water resistant coatings are ideal for vertical wall construction however when placed in a horizontal situation the surface is exposed to more external elements that are outside the scope of a painted rendered surface.

The introduction of intense weather and hydrostatic pressures results in the coating surface being penetrated by moisture over time that eventually weaken the surface coating and penetrate the render or texture surface. This can then result in the underlying substrate whether it be cladded timber frame or masonry blockwork being affected. The result is either delamination of the external finish or a surface that looks cracked and unattractive.

The solution is to protect these horizontal surfaces by use of a metal capping or an Ezycoat Waterproof Membrane coating as a preapplication before the final paint finish is applied. This will seal and protect the surface for many years and keep your project looking great for years to come.
