Hemmed wall track from by Rondo Building Services - safer & stronger
Today, Occupational Health and Safety on the work site plays a critical
role in building and construction methods, and there is a growing demand for manufacturers
to provide products which are safe to handle and install, without hindering construction
speed or efficiency.
Rondo has taken the industry lead in modifying it's range of standard Wall Track products
with a safety hem of 3mm along the entire length of both edges, minimising exposure to sharp
edges and resulting in a more safe and sturdy product to handle. The rolled hem to the exposed
top edges of the track not only reduces the likelihood of metal cut injuries when handling,
but also provides a significantly stronger and more rigid product profile.
This new track also features punch-out holes (or biscuit holes) in the web, creating an easy
conduit for necessary wiring or where small diameter pipe-work needs to be routed down through
the slab. This feature therefore negates the need for any cutting to take place in order to
create service holes.
The new Rondo Hemmed Track will be available in all of the standard sizes and will seamlessly
take the place of the current un-hemmed product as stocks run out. There will therefore be no
changes in product part numbers. The previous track with un-hemmed edges will still be available
as a special order upon request.
