Eco friendly Palmwood flooring from Eco Spective - Enito

Natural Palmwood
EcoSpective Pty Ltd is the exclusive distributor of ENiTo™ Palmwood
Flooring for the Australian and New Zealand markets.
ENiTo™ Palmwood Flooring features superior strip-flooring boards that reflect the best
attributes of natural palmwood. Each board is a solid piece of wood that has been cut
from the trunk of a palm tree; there is no lamination involved. Boards are laid using a
glue-down only installation system.
Our ENiTo™ Palmwood Flooring is the answer to ecologically responsible hardwood flooring.
It is made from over-mature coconut palms that no longer produce fruit due to their age.
Felling these trees to make flooring allows for re-planting of productive trees. This in
turn combats deforestation.
The unique and striking features of the coconut palm tree are captured in each strip-board
of tongue and groove flooring. These boards are very durable with a janka hardness rating
of 10, equivalent to Blackbutt and Brushbox. The natural boards can be finished with solid
oil or wax based finishes. The boards are kiln dried to 11%+- 1% EMC, have dimensions of
900mm x 15mm x 90mm with tongue and groove profile and end matching. Boards are installed
over a substrate that is not subject to moisture, using the glue-down method.
ENiTo™ Palmwood flooring is sold in boxes of 24 boards covering 1.944m2. The boards are vacuum
sealed in plastic to protect against exposure to moisture during shipping, storage and handling.
Natural palmwood is produced without any finishing. This gives the flexibility to the installer
as to how their floor will be finished. Floor finishes that are eco-friendly, solid oil or wax
based will give an appealing finish.
Pre-finished Palmwood has an 8 layer wear-resistant coating offers a virtually carefree finish
and the assurance of quality. Using Treffert technologies the highest quality floor protection
system is achieved.
