Suitable for high bay, low bay, flood, street and tunnel applications, induction lighting utilises fluorescent technology, with one major difference. Induction lighting does not use electrodes (which degrade over time and eventually fail), but instead, uses a frequency generator to produce a radio frequency magnetic field which excites the gas in the tube. The practical effect of such an innovation is that customers can now expect lifetimes of up to 100,000 hours, meaning if run 12 hours a day on 365 days of the year, the lights will last over 20 years.
