Moroccan Plaster Finish with INEX>RENDERBOARD from UBIQ

moroccan plaster finish restaurant bar

Case Study: INEX RENDERBOARD™ with a Rockcote finish

PROJECT: Etsu Japanese Restaurant, Mermaid Beach, QLD
WHAT: Long bar and reception counter
PRODUCT: Rockcote Marrakesh trowel applied (2-3mm) over the INEX>RENDERBOARD
BUILDER: Chris Humpries
ARTISAN PLASTERER: Michael Symington

The owner of this newly opened Japanese restaurant wanted the bar to be the most dominant feature taking up half the width of the space. The long bar is the main feature of the restaurant which is already accentuated with stunning sensory decorative effects that seduce both the eye and the brain.

The quirky, bold and brilliant use of the INEX>RENDERBOARD™ is loved by the owners and clientele alike. The use of UBIQ's product in Mermaid Beach is versatile yet industrial while being hard wearing and cost effective.

The long bar and the reception counter is constructed with INEX>RENDERBOARD™ 16 over a timber frame and delivers that solid concrete feel to the structure.

Rockcote Marrakesh has been trowel applied (2-3mm) over the INEX>RENDERBOARD™ to achieve that authentic natural polished patina of Moroccan plaster.
