Facings
All Tontine Insulation products can be faced with different grades of foils, fabrics and vinyls. Facings can be added to any Tontine polyester insulation product in order to enhance the appearance or the performance of the product.
Some typical types of facing materials are as follows;

Light Weight Foil (LWF): A cost effective grade of foil designed to provide reflective face for bulk insulation under metal roofs to prevent condensation and act as a vapour barrier in both roof and wall applications.

Medium Weight Foil (MWF): A general purpose, medium grade foil with high durability and strength. MWF can be faced on different grades of polyester insulation used in roof and wall applications in residential and commercial buildings. This type of foil is commonly used with bulk insulation to line external rigid duct in the air conditioning industry. Medium Weight foil is also available with perforations used for sound absorbing applications.

Heavy Weight Foil (HWF): Provides extra strength and tear resistance compared to MWF foil and can be laminated to all types of Tontine polyester insulation in either roll or sheet form. Applied to many applications giving great durability and predominately suited to the requirements of the rigid duct industry for external lagging. Heavy weight perforated foil has exceptional durability and used as an acoustic facing for the lining of internal duct work for the air conditioning rigid duct work.

White or Black Foil Finishes: In some cases the need for a white face is called for in certain exposed applications and the perforated foil is available in a white finish. The perforated foil is white on one side making it ideal for an aesthetic finish while maintaining the acoustic properties of the bulk insulation. A black face is also available in heavy weight foil in either perforated or plain finish.

Black Scrim Finishes: A black finish can be obtained using a black fabric F/R scrim that is adhered to any of the Tontine Insulation products range. The black finish is particularly useful where the insulation is being installed over a perforated ceiling so that the insulation is not easily seen through the perforations.
For exceptional acoustic performance and sound deadening properties a loaded vinyl can be laminated to a range of Tontine acoustic insulation products achieving a material rating of up to Rw 28.
All foil facings are available with a 150mm overlap for rolls at 120cm wide and a 100mm overlap for rolls at 140cm wide.
