Tailor made LED solutions from TridonicAtco

LED systems from TridonicAtco continue to grab attention throughout the world. Three new projects show how versatile these lighting solutions are.

Swedish cult site in a new light
A cult site dating back more than 2500 years has been discovered during excavation work for a new road in Skövde/West Sweden. Eight monoliths are arranged in a large circle – to which eight metre high stainless steel tubing has now been added to symbolise the connection that the cult site makes with heaven and earth.

Shedding light on the past
16 small floodlights, each with a blue P213 LED, make the stones stand out. The stainless steel tubing is lit with blue P602 LEDs which are built into the aluminium section and protected by a 10 x 2 cm polycarbonate panel.

Prof. Lars Bylund is responsible for planning the lighting for the new 50 metre diameter roundabout. The work is being carried out by Ake Forslin AB Deltalux.

TridonicAtco lights the way for Toyota in Oman
For thirty years, Toyota has been the market leader in the Sultanate of Oman with a market share of around 50%. The local sales partner, the Saud Bahwan Group, puts this success down to outstanding product quality, aggressive marketing, high investment in customer services and not least to an innovative corporate image.

New corporate offices with a generously proportioned Toyota showroom have been built in the city centre. The impressive building with a floor area of more than 10,000 m² is one of the largest showrooms in the region, offering customers a completely new buying experience. So impressive is it that it has become a new landmark in the city.

State-of-the-art LED lighting
Toyota made a conscious decision to avoid neon lighting, both inside and outside the building. Instead, the Saud Bahwan Group turned to LED solutions from TridonicAtco. Their decision was heavily influenced by guaranteed quality and the high standard of personal service available on site.

The lighting system comprises LED chains with 30 LED P510 R and P511 DL modules that are perfectly matched to one another. The results speak for themselves: a high level of flexibility, exceptional brightness, perfect thermal management and an excellent price/performance ratio.

The LEDs from TridonicAtco underline the exclusive atmosphere of the entire building and herald the start of a new era in illuminated signage in Oman.

Building bridges with award-winning lighting
The city of Düsseldorf has received a special award for a new bridge for pedestrians and cyclists in MedienHafen, the media district. It won first prize in the special Community category of the Renault Traffic Design Awards. All thanks to the refined step and platform lighting system with LED technology from TridonicAtco.

The new bridge is an important ingredient in revitalising the Düsseldorf MedienHafen district. All along the bridge there are attractive light cubes that provide illumination and a place to sit. The steps down to the island in the Rhine are also incorporated in the lighting concept. Individual step and platform luminaires with LED technology from TridonicAtco were developed for the steps and pontoon.

Tailor-made LED solutions
Working to strict design and safety specifications, JSK Architects of Düsseldorf together with Stadtwerke Düsseldorf AG and Lichtwerk GmbH Königsberg designed special luminaires precisely tailored to the steps and platform. 96 step luminaires (28 x 5 x 12 cm) in stainless steel housings (V4A), each fitted with a 4 W white LED element, provide excellent orientation light for pedestrians. There are a further six platform luminaires (148 x 5 x 12 cm) each equipped with twelve 2 W LED strips. To match the
