Australian Aluminium Finishing's contracted for 700 aluminium panels in Shanghai

AAF is proud to be a contractor on one of the most stunning new building projects in the world: the Shanghai World Financial Centre, a super-tall skyscraper due to open in mid-2008.

At 492 metre's and 101 towering stories (and with 377,000 square metre's of space and 33 elevators) it is only 18 metre's shorter than the tallest building in the world. When completed, it will have the highest observational platform of any building.

AAF secured the prestigious contract to provide ultra-high grade anodising for 7000 aluminium panels on the podium level, a highly visible part of the building. With colour consistency and quality specifications to the highest order, the panels are being coated and anodised-finished at our Sydney plant, then shipped to Shanghai for installation.

The panels are anodised to rigid production parameters of thickness, sealing and hardness, as well as colour and gloss specifications.

The project is a masterpiece of contemporary high-rise architecture and construction technology, with 70 office levels, a five-star hotel, luxury retail space and even a museum.

The Shanghai World Financial Centre will become the nerve centre of the city of Shanghai, the premier financial hub in Asia. It is a potent symbol of Shanghai's growth and China's awesome economic promise. AAF's involvement is international recognition of our excellent reputation as outstanding aluminium applicators.
