LIQUID RUBBER WATERPROOF MEMBRANE vs SHEET MEMBRANE

Spray On Liquid Rubber membrane is designed for waterproofing foundations, basements, planters, parking garages, waterproofing buildings and infrastructure projects and much more.

Liquid Rubber is a state of the art elastomeric waterproofing membrane offering superior performance and developed to solve the problems that continually arise in the use of conventional membrane systems.

waterproofing membrane application

After years of experience within the waterproofing industry, F.E.W Waterproofing have become advocates of the unique properties of Liquid Rubber.

  • Flames & Heat: Conventional membranes (Torch On) can damage pipes, wiring, timber and infrastructure due to flame/heat applied waterproofing
  • Cold Spray Applied Liquid Rubber is applied without heat, cold applied and non-flammable liquid.
  • Associated Fumes and VOCs: Many membranes i.e urethanes, vinyl and epoxy based coatings are high in VOCs (Volatile Organic Chemicals).
  • Environmentally Friendly. Liquid Rubber products meet OH&S considerations: environmentally safe, non-hazardous, non-toxic, virtually odourless and non-flammable components.
  • De-lamination. Sheet Membrane joins can de-laminate and be a major cause of water ingress.
  • Seamless. Liquid Rubber is spray applied producing a SEAMLESS membrane with superior adhesion.
  • Cracks: Conventional membranes harden over time developing cracks causing membrane failure.
  • Elasticity: Liquid Rubber is UV resistant, strong and flexible with an elasticity of 800% (not age affected) and 95% memory.
  • Time: Traditional membranes often involve multiple coats, increased manual labour, longer curing times all add up to a lengthy process. Also requires a completely dry the substrate.
  • Instant Set: Liquid Rubber application is FAST - rapid curing, one coat, and substrate can be slightly damp.

F.E.W Waterproofing are Australian Certified Applicators for Liquid Rubber.
