Hynebeam 17 is the strongest softwood glue laminated beam available, and suited to a variety of structural applications, particularly in high load, long span applications where performance is critical.

Hyne Beam 17 is ideal for lintels over large window and door openings, garage beams and roof beams when timber is the preferred building product. Hyne Beam 17 is readily available in a range of commonly used sizes and lengths with special beams available to order, providing the service that builders and contractors expect. Hyne Beam 17 is available in two grades in accordance with AS/NZ1328.1-1998.

STR - Structural Grade or Appearance C
SEL - Select Grade or Appearance A

CERTIFICATION:

Manufactured to comply with AS/NZ1328.1-1998. Manufactured under ISO9001 Accredited Systems Third Party Accredited by GLTAA Chain of Custody (CoC) as per AS4707- 2008 PEFC / AFS

DURABILITY:

Hyne Beam 17 is manufactured from Durability Class 4 Timber Species.

Hyne Beam 17 is available Untreated for internal applications or H3 Treated for termite protection and external, above ground, weather exposed applications. Hyne Beam 17 is classified as an E2 product in accordance with AS 3959-2009 Construction of buildings in bushfire prone areas.

If used in weather exposed applications refer to Hyne Technical Data Sheets 5, 6, 8 and 9.

APPLICATION:

Common uses for Hyne Beam 17 include: Lintels, Bearers, Roof Beams, Rafters, Curves, Columns and Portal Frames.

STORAGE / INSTALLATION:

Hyne Beam 17 must be stored, installed and maintained as per the recommendations in Hyne Technical Data Sheets 5, 6, 8 and 9.

SUBSTITUTION:

Where a Hyne specific product has been specified using Hyne Design Software, a substitution with a non Hyne product will VOID all certification / warranties implied or otherwise.
