Purpose Built Synagogue Using StoneSub System from Stoneclip

synagogue interior stone

The project is at 4 Maple st, Caulfield South. It is designed by Mr Evan Cooper of Idle Architecture Studio of Richmond Melbourne. The builder is Behmer & Wright Pty Ltd. It is a purpose built Synagogue for the local community and seats up to 800 worshippers at a time.

The internal stone is all Limestone in 3 colour shades that was sourced from Israel and is installed onto the 41mm x 41mm vertical channel and is supported and restrained with the Stoneclip 8 mm StoneSub system.

The pattern as shown in the first photo is an offset design, meaning the panels are set in and out to each other piece which accentuates the stone panelling. The shaft adjustment allowed this effect of the panels and all loads are within their limits. The stone mason employed to do this internal work was Mr Ricco Laroso (mob: 0469933697).

The external walls clad in 30mm Bluestone are also erected onto the vertical channel system with the 8 mm StoneSub brackets. They slope inwards on the bottom of the facade and then curve in the middle to slope outwards on the top part of the facade. The external cladding is being erected by Harry Grezos and his company (Harry The Tiler mob: 0400 229877).
