NEWS ARTICLE ARCHIVESCasement & Awning Window Screens Sydney from Artilux![]() How to screen Awning and Casement windows... The stylish way. You may have existing Awning or Casement windows in your home or recently moved into a newly built apartment which, as result of new regulations, has awning windows. They look great, and work really well for ventilation...but... screening these types of windows, let alone screening them and cleaning them can be a real pain. They often have awkward hinges or velcro to keep the screen in place which means operating and cleaning windows becomes a bit of "hard work". A great solution is retractable screens for windows, they are often referred to as roll up screens. The mesh is housed in a cassette which is fixed (usually) at the top of the window. It is simply rolled down when needed it and retracted neatly back into its cassette when not in use. Artilux specialises in retractable screens, which are especially well suited to difficult to screen openings. The smaller the window the smaller the cassette, making them a subtle add on to your window without adding "chunk" or bulk to the frame. Retractable screens for windows are designed to blend in with the frames and to be used only when needed. They simply disappear when the window is closed. The beauty of this kind of screen is that, as it is not a permanent fixture on your window, you get clear vision through your windows it as well as giving you access to the windows for cleaning. |
