With the web often being
the first point-of-contact for potential
customers these days, protective coatings
manufacturer Shieldcoat has recently
given their site (www.shieldcoat.com.au)
a slick new facelift.
Simplification of the
site was one of the aims of the revamp
with their stable of protective coating
products now numbering in excess of
thirty. For each product there is downloadable
information, application and safety
data sheets for ease of use. For most
products there is also a series of step-by-step
photographs to further aid in the application
process.
An additional feature
of the site is the new "Applicators"
and "Distributors" sections. Both tradesmen
and end-users are able to quickly and
easily select from a map of Australia
the area they are in and from here select
a suitable contact.
The ability to purchase
online has been retained but instead
of having to go to a specific online
store section of the site, once users
have logged in they can add goods to
their online 'trolley' from the products
own information page.

site are planned for later this year.
