TridonicAtco LED solutions create high impact retail environments

Interior lighting design

LED applications from TridonicAtco create a feel-good atmosphere, with lighting that adjusts automatically to the amount of available daylight.

LEDs shed light on world history at the Musée du Quai Branly in Paris. "Historic" lighting solutions from TridonicAtco and Secante.
The visual arts are not a European invention. "Arts Premiere" is the name given to art outside Europe that was created by the original inhabitants. This special branch of art is given space in the Musée du Quai Branly in Paris, with the aim of building bridges between cultures.

TridonicAtco supports this important social undertaking with tailor-made LED display solutions. The French company Secante, our partner in LED business segment for LED application and know-how holder in lighting implementation, creates pools of light in the rooms. The warm light of luminaires produces a homely atmosphere in which guests can feel relaxed.

The new Musée du Quai Branly has a number of different missions that go far beyond simply recording, cataloguing and labelling works of art. It ensures that collections are conserved and restored and promotes research and teaching relating to these works of art and the societies that produced them. After ten years of hard work the museum has now opened to present the art of Africa, Asia, Oceania and the American continent.

A dialogue between culture and technology
The ambitious aim of this project is to bear witness to the diversity of art and societies and promote a dialogue between cultures. It reminds us that our history is closely related to that of the places where these works of art originated. The architecture, interior design and lighting for the museum highlight the importance of the historical and also contemporary exhibits.

History in a new light
TridonicAtco and Secante are proud to be making a contribution to this important institution. Tailor-made lighting solutions bring out the details of the works, the rooms and the special cultural features. 200 reading lights have been installed, equipped with P211 WW 3000K modules with a beam angle of 40°. The system is operated with the successful K350 4 VA converter. Cooperation between the Musée du Quai Branly and TridonicAtco establishes a strong link between ancient history, contemporary art and future technology.

Main entrance - Seafood restaurant in Rorschach / Switzerland

The seafood restaurant in Rorschach on Lake Constance sets new standards. Not only through the quality of its food but also through its architecture and lighting design. Guests at the 40 year old building can enjoy highlights from the kitchen and highlights from TridonicAtco’s range of LED lighting.

The seafood restaurant in Rorschach on Lake Constance was a high-class venue until well into the 1970s. International stars from stage and screen kept the restaurant very busy. With its French cuisine it ranked as one of the best in the region. After suffering financial difficulties and a series of closures and reopenings, the 40 year old building was revitalised in 2004 by Jörg Korecki. Now it is back as one of the premier culinary addresses.

Nouvelle cuisine
The plans called for radical treatment. The building was completely gutted until only the load-bearing concrete structure was left standing, and then totally rebuilt. Today, following its opening in March 2006, the restaurant boasts a jazz and theatre basement, a wince cellar for tastings, an exclusive bar, a cosy dining area, a gelateria and the Café Lago and terrace.

From the main entrance you walk into the Regatta Lounge and terrace and then to Aqua Fine Dining. In the stairwell, attention is drawn to the walk-in wine cupboard with separate climate zones. Lounge guests can relax in black leather armchairs or at the warmly lit bar made from translucent onyx. In front of the bar, separated by a five metre chimney, is the Aqua Fine Dining area where guests can dine.

A treat for all the senses
The attentive staff ensure that the food and service is first class, and TridonicAtco has made a significant contribution towards creating the right atmosphere within the building. The lighting design, architecture and refined furnishings were top priorities in the refurbishment scheme.

The skilful use of light and colour at the entrance itself signals from a distance that this is a popular place for people to meet. The lighting strips arranged around the entrance can be controlled to provide different lighting levels and different colours depending on the occasion. A 50 m2 glass wall shimmers in the background from the café bar. The uniform distribution of light and precise colour control is provided by thousands of RGB LEDs that underline the modern image of the new seafood restaurant.

All the light sources can be controlled by a modern DALI system so the lighting moods can be easily changed. This means that the seafood restaurant in Rorschach can be "redesigned in light" at any time to keep the attraction of the new alive for as long as possible.
