The requirements of the Timber industry and specifically the Truss Manufacturing trade, often encounter difficulties in storage of products prior to delivery from the factory. MECA Racking Solutions has recently achieved a new storage solution for use in outdoor areas for the efficient storage of manufactured Truss products.

MECA engineers have developed the new truss racking to accommodate the lengths of 12 meters and bay areas up to 2.4 meters deep. The galvanized steel racking is ideal for both outdoor storage, and may also be used within warehouses in both single sided or double sided configurations. Each fully adjustable, bay level will hold up to three sets of trusses depending on the weights and can increase storage space considerably. Truss racks are fully adjustable in bay levels and may also be in offset configurations for easy stock maintenance.

Recently, MECA Racking Solutions has completed a specialised Truss racking solution for Brisbane Building Supplies in Cabalaba Queensland. Brisbane Building Supplies, supply roof trusses to builders throughout the Gold and Sunshine coasts and the Brisbane local areas. There can sometimes be a wait of several weeks from the order completion until the order is picked up for client delivery to site and this may cause a storage issue within their yard. The ideal solution would be to place the Trusses into racks above the ground; and the racks also offer the trusses more protection from the environment, and ground storage that requires extra handling. Often with flat packing on the ground orders would be placed in front and behind each other, and required to be double handled for stock picking purposes. The use of Truss racking has made order picking and storage placement easier and faster, with less damage to stock.

Truss racking will offer the benefits of more yard space as you raise stock off of the ground and more stock can be stored, therefore enabling the business to accommodate more orders and supply. Delivery times will be faster and a more efficient use of time and space is accomplished.
