The unique self-flushing ball technology prevents the build-up of unwanted micro-organisms and foreign matter through constant flushing of the dead water zone inside the ball cavity.

In a traditional ball valve, sediment and bacteria-carrying water can become trapped inside the ball cavity or 'dead water zone', allowing micro-organisms to proliferate. The European Norm 13828 requires that for ball valves, all inner surfaces in contact with water, including the entire ball cavity, are sufficiently flushed and thus rinsed out when in an open position. The self-flushing valve series, developed through rigorous testing procedures, is the only ball valve available in Australia that meets these requirements.
