SPECIFICATIONS AT A GLANCE

Askin can now offer sandwich panels with a printed finish. The cold rolled steel skins have paint-coated or film-coated surfaces; the galvanized or aluminium steel skins enable patterns and designs to be formed on the surface. The choice available is suitable for both internal and external application with panels laid horizontally or vertically. Finishes range from wood grain, stacked stone, granite, zinc, rusted steel etc. - our sales staff will gladly show you the sample books.

Core Material
Standard panel cores are self-extinguishing grade expanded polystyrene Class SL, manufactured to Australian standards. Steel skins are bonded to the core under pressure using a two part thermosetting polyurethane adhesive.

Other specialised cores are available on request. Generally, the lighter colours are preferred for external use, because they reflect solar radiation. Darker colours are more suited to fire rated panels such as XFlam™ and Econorock™.

The various surfaces and colour choice can influence the price per square metre - our sales staff will gladly assist you in your selection.

Skins
Sheet thickness is 0.50mm for both surface skins. Panel skins are available with a choice of embossed finish:

• Stucco
• Woodgrain and
• GR-embo.

Other options available are paint finishes such as metallic, 3-dimensional, matt and gloss.

Dimensions

• Width: 1200mm as a modular standard.
• Thickness: 38mm and 50 to 300mm in multiples of 25mm.
• Length: As required, determined by handling, design and transportation.

Profiles
Available with a flat surface finish or low profile of 0.75mm depth to either surface: 100mm Rib profile, 50mm Mesa Rib and Silkline. The Askin Slip-joint® is incorporated into the edges of both surface skins for easy installation.
