Hyne Beam 21 is our premier laminated beam designed specifically for high load, appearance applications. Produced from rich coloured and textured Queensland hardwoods, Hyne Beam 21 is naturally durable and termite resistant.

For builders, Hyne Beam 21 is known as our original engineered and glue laminated hardwood beam with a superb record for strength and performance.

Engineers have found Hyne Beam 21 can substitute for steel in many applications where high loads are supported, while architects and designers favour Hyne Beam 21 in appearance applications.

GRADES/ SPECIES:
Hyne Beam 21 is available in two grades in accordance with AS/NZ1328.1-1998
STR - Structural Grade or Appearance C - Mixed Hardwoods
SEL - Select Grade or Appearance A -Spotted Gum. Forest Reds on Application.
CURVED - Forest Reds Only

DURABILITY:
Hyne Beam 21 is manufactured from a minimum Durability Class 2 Timber Species for use in both internal applications or external, above ground, weather exposed applications. Hyne Beam 21 is naturally resistant to termite attack. Hyne Beam 21 manufactured from Spotted Gum is considered a Bushfire Resistant Timber in accordance with AS 3959-2009 up to and including BAL-29 If used in Weather Exposed Applications refer to Hyne Technical Data Sheets 5, 6, 8 and 9.

APPLICATION:
Common uses for Hyne Beam 21 include: Lintels, Bearers, Roof Beams, Rafters, Curves, Columns and Portal Frames where strength and aesthetics are important.

STORAGE / INSTALLATION:
Hyne Beam 21 must be stored, installed and maintained as per the recommendations in Hyne Technical Data Sheets 5, 6, 8 and 9. The Hyne Technical Data Sheets are available at www.hyne.com.au

SUBSTITUTION:
Where a Hyne specific product has been specified using Hyne Design Software, a substitution with a non Hyne product will VOID all certification / warranties implied or otherwise.
