NEWS ARTICLE ARCHIVESHunter Douglas' Quadroclad Façade System for innovative projects![]() Architects working on the new Faculty of Law Building at the University of New South Wales required a façade system that integrated seamlessly with the unique flat and angled surface of the futuristic building, and the Quadroclad Façade System from Hunter Douglas Commercial provided the perfect design solution. The new and highly innovative university building uses the LUXALON® Quadroclad Façade System with dramatic effect across the striking forms and angles of the building surface. Ideal for the large, flat and angled exterior of the UNSW Law Building, the lightweight Quadroclad System is comprised of two aluminium skins bonded to an aluminium honeycomb-shaped core, providing exceptional rigidity and strength with a minimal sub-structure. Used in a variety of metallic colours, the Quadroclad System further enhanced the aesthetics of the building and was easy to install thanks to the roll-formed upturn along the sides of the panels, enabling architects and designers to achieve the consistently large, flat vertical and horizontal surfaces on the building's exterior. Importantly, the Quadroclad panels could be fixed to a variety of subframes adding to their versatility and functionality.
