Sanigrid® II Fibreglass Grid Ceiling System
from Dynamic Composite Technologies

Sanigird is an all-fibreglass ceiling grid system resists moisture in high humidity and chemical environments. Sanigrid will not rust, pit, dent or peel like metal grid systems and it is very easy to install. The Sanigird system uses a series of pre-noticed main tees and cross members to lock the grid together. The entire system snaps together quickly for faster installation.

1. Install Sanigrid wall angle at desired height around perimeter of room in the usual manner. Use non-corrosive fasteners appropriate for wall material. Pre-drill appropriate size hole for fastener's.

2. Install hanger eyes and wire at appropriate spacing per chart. use galvanised anchors and 12 ga. galvanised, monel, or stainless steel wire. (Use corrosion-resistant materials suitable for the intended environment).

3. Secure main runners to hanger wires and make leveling adjustments. Where main tees butt, secure with connector clip. Additional holes may be drilled in main tees as required for proper alignment with hanger wires. Space holes no closer than 102mm (4") from end of tee or another hole. IMPORTANT: Light fixtures must be installed to hang independently of the grid system.

4. Where the main runner meets the wall angle, cut away the face of the runner so that the vertical web will rest on the wall angle. Scoring the runner on both sides of the vertical and horizontal web will assist in providing a clean break.

5. Install a wall anchor clip and a diagonal hanger wire. This will prevent shifting and misalignment of the main runners.

6. Install cross tees by positioning tee at the cross tee notch on the main tee. Both ends must be positioned at the same time. Then simply twist the cross tee into position. At the cross tee wall angel junction, cut away the face and install wall anchor as was done for the main runners.

7. Install lay-in ceiling panels int he usual manner.

8. Install two hold down clips along the cross tees only. Hold down clips are intended only to hold panels in position. They will not prevent warping under severe conditions.

Sanigrid Ceiling Panels
When FRP panels are used in conjunction with metal overlay gird system, the space between the panel and the grid system may be unacceptable. this issue is highlighted with the use of smooth FRP panels as illustrated in the photos below.

Using heavy duty grids with lip and flange may result in a space with FRP panels are installed in the grid.

When FRP panels are placed in the grid, there will be a space due to the design of the grid. This spaced is accented, when using smooth panels.

For best results please use only butt end ceiling grid systems or the Sanigrid Fibrelgass ceiling grid system when installing FRP as a ceiling panel.
