Minimising its impact on the environment is a key objective for CaesarStone Quartz Surfaces, the company having recently updated its environmental and sustainability position to include Green Star compatibility information.

CaesarStone was the world's first quartz surface company to have its Environmental Management System certified to comply with ISO 14001. Compliance with additional voluntary standards, including OHSAS 18001 and GreenGuard Certification, means CaesarStone's environmental management policy sets clear and measurable objectives to maintain safety standards, minimize the environmental impact of its production processes through energy and waste reduction, recycling technologies and the consideration of environmental factors in the selection of materials and suppliers.

CaesarStone is a member of the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA), an organization committed to developing a sustainable property industry for Australia by encouraging the adoption of green building practices. The GCBA developed the Green Star Rating System which has become an industry measure for sustainable products and services. This system is based on a number of criteria within nine environmental impact categories. A range of CaesarStone products comply with several credit criteria for Indoor Environment Quality and Materials for GBCA's Green Star Rating system.
