OMTrak Overview

OMTrak is an innovative award winning solution for building Infrastructure projects that creates electronic operations and maintenance manuals.

On completion the system produces a set of electronic operation and maintenance manuals cut to CD, including attached documentation and a client tailored asset register.

The OMTrak patented system provides Contractors and their Clients visibility of the manuals well in advance of handover. It saves time and reduces costs associated with handover delays and project management inefficiencies. The system is a greener way to produce and distribute manuals by avoiding the need to produce expensive draft and final sets of hard copy manuals.

How Does It Work?

Setup - WebFM conducts a setup workshop with the Builder and Stakeholders to agree the manual requirements for the project

Secure Access - users are given a secure web login to access the project's O&M Manuals based on their agreed role

Training - WebFM will train the project team, Sub-contractors, Consultants and Clients to use the OMTrak system

Data input - Contractors progressively enter data, upload documents (drawings, certificates, etc) to create their project O&M Manuals

QA Review - Project Managers, Consultants and Owners progressively review, comment and sign off on the manuals using the online QA system

Close and Cut - upon signoff WebFM closes the site and transfers all data to DVD. The self loading DVD contains a searchable electronic manual (PDF with linked documents / as-builts etc) plus an asset database and spreadsheet. Multiple Milestone handovers can be handled within the system

Defects Module - during the DLP period defects and maintenance can be recorded and tracked using the OMTrak defects module

How Is OMTrak Different?

OMTrak is not like other online or offline systems which simply store various files in a data directory. OMTrak is a patented system that creates a complete integrated electronic set of O&M Manuals with Asset Register.

The OMTrak system is very flexible. OMTrak can be tailored to suit the needs of a client or project. We do not simply roll out the same setup for every project. Manuals, locations and asset registers can all be dynamically tailored. However the system is not over engineered to the point that consistency and structure is lost.
