Shoalhaven and Timbercrete work towards Sustainable Design

Shoalhaven and Timbercrete are working together to create home that showcases sustainable design. The home demonstrates how homeowners can implement sustainable design features in new homes or in retro fitting existing ones.

Together with Shoalhaven council, Timbercrete produced the idea of the SOS "Sustaining our Shoalhaven" display home to demonstrate to individuals can use sustainable design features to reduce their footprint on energy and water usage around the home.

Timbercrete is a useful contributor to the goal of sustainable design with their eco-friendly bricks. The bricks take much less energy than regular bricks to produce and actually act as a carbon sink, offsetting the use of thousands of cars each year. Timbercrete and the use of other environmentally friendly techniques has made the SOS home a brilliant example of sustainable design.
