NEWS ARTICLE ARCHIVESNeon Replacement with LED Neon Flex from iMAAGE EnvirolifeMantra goes LED, when Visual Technologies of Melbourne secured a job to build a new Mantra sky sign they wanted to move away from old glass neon technology. iMAAGE in consultation with Visual Technologies advised they use 24V blue LED neon flex as a replacement for glass neon, we worked with Visual Technology to determine what meterage was needed, what accessories (clips, connectors, end caps and so on) plus what power supplies were required. The refurbishment was carried out in the workshop then the entire sign transferred and lifted into position, a feat not possible using old glass neon technology due to breakage from the slightest bump or twist to the sign structure. Rob Gentle from Visual Technologies says he is delighted with the end result, LED neon flex is very easy to use and flexes with the structure when moving a completed sign on and off transport and or lifting into position. He was also extremely impressed by the brilliant illumination, which surprised him a little, thinking 24V neon flex might struggle to have the punch. |
