Altair Louvres Tested to Bushfire Attack Level 29 from Breezway

onbase software retail

Recently, Breezway Altair Louvre Windows successfully passed the test for the Australian Standard 3959-2009 "Construction of Buildings in Bushfire Prone Areas" for Bushfire Attack Level 29.

Previously, bushfire shutters were required on the outside of the window for buildings located in BAL29. These latest results now allow Altair Louvre Windows to be installed in a Breezway Easyscreen Frame with toughened glass and a Crimsafe security screen to the outside of the frame (other stainless steel security screens are yet to be assessed).

However we do recommend that you receive independent advice from both an engineer and the local council authority to determine the level of construction and to ensure that you comply with the correct protection measures for your individual circumstance.

A Technical Bulletin on Bushfire Prone Areas is available to download on the Resources page of the Breezway website.
